AUG 2010 | PHASE 2 AT BIRCH COPPICE GETS GREEN LIGHT

As seen in IFW-net.com - 27th August 2010

UK developers have got the go-ahead to extend an industrial park in Birmingham, including construction of warehousing to be served by an existing rail terminal.

The 50ha second-phase development at Birch Coppice Business Park, close to the M42, will provide up to 200,000sq metres of rail-served warehousing.

Kevin Ashfield, Development Manager for site owner IM Properties, said: “We are looking to commence infrastructure works as soon as possible, and fully serviced plots will be available from March 2011.

“A key attraction to occupiers is that phase two benefits from the on-site Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT) operated by Roadways Container Logistics.”
