MAR 2010 | Roadways Proud Sponsor of the Taylor Run 2010
Roadways Container Logistics is proud to be a sponsor of the
Taylor Run 2010,
The Taylor Run is a Charity car rally, run to raise funds and awareness for Meningitis UK, a Bristol based charity with a national remit.
The aim of the rally is to tell as many people about the symptoms of Meningitis as well as raising funds to find a vaccine for the meningitis B strain.
The rally is being organised in the memory of Taylor Deakin Westley-Smith who was tragically lost to Meningococcal Septicaemia in March 2009 at only 9 and a half months old.
The event is being organised by Taylor’s father Mark Smith who quoted “We are proud to have the Roadways livery on the Calibra as the backing of a major haulier can only raise our profile and make us more recognisable as we travel round the UK”.
Mark continued “we are hoping to raise in excess of GBP10,000 for Meningitis UK with the Taylor Run and we still have a long way to go on this so if anyone wants to join in, even if it is just for a couple of days instead of the whole week, please contact us through our website www.taylor-run.com.
Donations can also be made by going through our website and clicking on the Charity link”.
The rally is due to take place on the 23rd to 30th October 2010 which will start and finish at the Orwell Crossing Truck Stop, Ipswich and will involve 7 days of driving, touring the UK and having fun in the process on the awesome roads Great Britain has to offer.......
The 23rd October 2010 is a chance for everyone to come down and have a look at all the cars and bikes on display from various clubs, some of which will be worth no
more than £500!
There will also be a welcome home party on the 30th October 2010 with live music everyone welcome.
